SHERPA^® DUO acts by ingestion and contact even in very small doses and has strong double action - rapid knock-down effect (shock) by contact and long-term effect by ingestion. Under the action of cypermethrin, sodium channels are blocked in the open position, which initially causes a phase of overexcitability followed by subexcitability, and finally paralysis and death. Piperonyl butoxide has a significant synergistic effect. It penetrates the nerve cell and inhibits the enzyme that is normally responsible for the breakdown of cypermethrin into cells (resistance to pyrethroids). This mechanism of action increases the effectiveness of the insecticide - cypermethrin and piperonyl butoxide. They therefore make an important contribution in terms of effectiveness even in the case of resistance problems.
